The United Nations Global Compact is the widest reaching corporate citizenship initiative in the world. It is based on the desire to promote a sustainable global economy: respecting human rights and labor, safeguarding the environment and fighting corruption.

THE 10 PRINCIPLES

Companies and organizations joining the Global Compact are asked to share, support and apply Ten Principles inspired by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, by the ILO, the Rio Declaration and the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.

Since 2011, the Barilla Group has been carrying out a yearly communication program to inform on progress made towards these objectives.
